Granola is delicious served over fruit, yogurt, or any hot cereal, as well as just as a cereal by itself.

Ingredients
- 5 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup sesame seeds
- 1 cup wheat germ
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 1 cup soy or whole wheat flour
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 cup raw cashew nut pieces
- 1 cup pecans or slivered almonds
- 2 tbsp corn oil
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup water

Step 1
Mix all dry ingredients in large mixing bowl. In smaller bowl mix the water, oil, brown sugar and vanilla and pour over dry ingredients, stirring until blended in. Put into 2 shallow baking pans. Preheat oven to 300 F. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes for first half hour and every 10 minutes for the second half hour. Turn oven down to 275 F for the second half hour and watch carefully so the granola does not overbrown or overburn. Let cool thoroughly. Store in airtight container. Keeps well.
