Ingredients
- 1 cup corn meal
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup shortening, softened

Preparation
Step 1
Sift together dry ingredients. Add egg, milk and shortening. Stir until smooth. Do not over mix. Bake in greased 8” square pan or muffin pans at 425 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
