Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Butter or margarine
- 2 tbsp Flour
- ¼ tsp Salt & dash of pepper
- 1 ½ cups Half & half

Step 1
In a small saucepan melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper, slowly add ½ & ½ or milk constantly stirring, cook over a medium heat until thick and bubbly, cook and stir one minute more.
For CHEESE SAUCE omit salt and stir in 1 ½ cup shredded American, process swiss, gruyere chees, or ½ cup crumbled blue cheese, or ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese. Makes about 2 cups.
