Christmas Tree Cookies

Ingredients

• Frosting:
• 1 cup butter
• 2/3 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
• 3/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
• 1 tbsp butter
• 1 tbsp milk
• 1/2 tsp vanilla
• 1/4 tsp lemon juice

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in egg. Combine and add vanilla and flour. Mix until ingredients are well-blended. Chill dough 3 to 4 hours before rolling. Preheat oven to 350 F. Roll out and cut. Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until barely colored. Can be frosted and decorated or just eaten plain.

Frosting: Melt butter. Combine all ingredients. Beat until smooth.
