Bread Pudding #2 1 Picture


  • 4 slices dry bread or toast it lightly
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cup scalded milk
  • Dash of salt



Step 1

Butter the bread.
Sprinkle with the cinnamon and white sugar.
Mix the eggs with the brown sugar and vanilla and slowly add it to the scalded milk.

Throw in a dash of salt.

Cut up bread into small pieces and add to your milk mixture.

Put mixture in a greased bread pan and sit it in a cake pan of hot water that comes about 1/3 way up the bread pan.

To make chocolate bread pudding just add 1/3 cup cocoa and a little extra white sugar.

Bake until a knife inserted comes out clean.
