Ingredients

  • 4 cups plain flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp. oil

Preparation

Step 1

In large bowl, combine dry ingredients. In another bowl, combine eggs, milk, syrup and oil. Stir into the dry ingredients just until moistened. Batter will be thin. Pour into 2 well greased 9 x 5 loaf pans. Bake at 325 degrees fro 60 – 70 minutes or until done. Cool for 10 minutes before removing the pans to wire racks.
