Ingredients

  • 4 Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbs. flour
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup grated swiss cheese
  • 2 tbs. unsalted butter
  • 2 cups chicken stock or milk

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a shallow 2 quart baking dish.

Place sliced poatoes and add sliced onion, flour and salt in abowl and toss to ensure all ingredients are mixed.

Transfer half the mix into the baking dish and cover with a layer of cheese. Lay remaining potatoes on top with more cheese and dot with butter. Pour in chicken stock or milk, should come up to almost the top of the potatoes.

Cover with foil and bake 1 hour, remove foil and bake another 30-45 minutes until tender when poked with a fork.
