Beatty's Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

• 1 3/4 cup flour
• 2 cup sugar
• 3/4 cup cocoa
• 2 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1/2 cup oil
• 2 large eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 cup brewed coffee

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350, butter and line w/ parchment paper 2, 8" cakepans.

Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and powder, and salt.

In another bowl, combine buttermilk, oil, eggs, vanilla.

Slowly add wet to dry. Add coffee and stir just to combine.

Pour into pans and bake for 35-40 minutes. Cool for 30 minutes.

Frost w/ chocolate mocha frosting
