Ingredients
- 1 lb powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp meringue powder
- 1 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 tsp clear vanilla
- 2 tbsp water

Preparation
Step 1
Beat all ingredients together until smooth. Don’t over process or the icing will become fluffy. This recipe yields 3 cups of stiff consistency icing.
Add an additional 1 tbsp water to the basic recipe for medium consistency.
Add 2 tbsp water to the basic recipe to yield thin consistency.
