Mystery Bars

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup flour
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 2 Tbls flour
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup of craisins, dates, or coconut
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Mix butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 cup flour until cumbly; spread in 8-inch square pan. Bake at 300 degrees about 20 minutes until delicately brown. Place 1 cup brown sugar, 2 Tbls four, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Beat eggs until lemon colored. Add with vanilla to sugar mixture. Mix. Spread over top of baked pastery. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Cut in squares while warm.
