Ingredients
- 3/4 cup Jif creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup Crisco
- 1 1/4 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
- 3 tbs. milk
- 1 tbs. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 3/4 cups plain flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine Jif, Crisco, light brown sugar milk and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Add egg. Beat just until blended. Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix just until blended. Drop by heaping tsp. 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly in criss-cross pattern with tines of fork. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-8 minutes or until set and just beginning to brown. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
