Ingredients

  • 1lb ground hamburger
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 (29oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 can beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 stalks celery
  • 4 large carrots
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 cup quick cook barley
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley chopped

Preparation

Step 1

1. Brown beef and onion, drain, and put into large pot. Add tomatoes, broth, water, celery, carrots, salt and pepper and thyme. Simmer 1/2 hour or until veggies are done. Add barley in the last 10 mins. Add parsley last.
