This has been used in our family for years. It was given to me by Muriel Blodgett who was a secretary at Cross Roads. It really is an outstanding and easy to make recipe.

Ingredients

  • For top:
  • 9 " springform pan
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • (Or buy a graham cracker pie crust in the supermarket, already made and ready to use)
  • 3 - 8 ounce packages cream cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

If making crust: Mix crumbs, butter and 2 cups sugar. Press into a 9" springform pan.

Soften the cream cheese. Add eggs, one at a time. Then add 1 cup sugar, vanilla; beat smooth.

Pour mixture over crumb crust, bake 1 hour, 45 minutes. Remove from oven, cool 5 minutes

Mix 1 pint sour cream, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 1/2 tsp vanilla. Pour over cheese. Put back into oven, bake for 5 minutes more.
