  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/4 c. heavy whip cream
  • 1 1/4 c. flaked coconut
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • Dash salt
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Step 1

Prepare pastry 15 1/2 X 10 1/2 X 1" pan for 2-crest pie. Flute edges up on all sides. Arrange 9c. thinly sliced apples sideways and longways. Sprinkle mixture of 1/2c. firmly packed brown sugar and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. Dot top with 1 Tbsp. butter. Bake @ 425° for 25 mins. Remove from oven.
Combine: 1 beaten egg, 1/4c. heavy whip cream,1 1/4c. flaked coconut, 1/2c. sugar, Dash salt. Spread over top of apples. Reduce heat to 350°. Bake 20 mins longer.
