Santa Cookies

Our adorable Santa Cookies make fun, edible ornaments. They're really easy to make by decorating purchased peanut-shaped cookies with icing, candied cherries, and raisins. Whether presented on a miniature tree or tucked in a holiday basket, the jolly cookies will delight friends of all ages.

Ingredients

• 1 package (16 ounces) peanut-shaped peanut butter cookies
• Purchased red and white decorating icing
• Red candied cherries
• Raisins

Preparation

Step 1

For each cookie, use a large star tip to pipe red icing on cookie to resemble stocking cap. Use a large star tip to pipe white icing on cookie to resemble beard, mustache and trim on cap. For nose, secure a small piece of candied cherry on cookie with icing. For eyes, secure small pieces of raisins on cookie with icing. Allow icing to harden. Store in an airtight container.

To hang each cookie from tree, insert an ornament hanger into cookie filling. Remove hanger before eating cookie.
