- 1/2 LB DRY BLACK BEANS
- 2 TABLESPOONS OLIVE OIL
- 1/2 CUP CHOPPED ONIONS
- 1/4 CUP CHOPPED GREEN PEPPER
- 2 CLOVES GARLIC MINCED
- 1TEASPOON OREGANO
- 1 PKG SAZON WITHOUT ANNATTO
- 2 TABLESPOONS WHITE COOKING WINE OR CIDER VINEGAR
- 1 TEASPOON SALT
- 1/4 TEASPOON PEPPER

Preparation
Step 1
1. SOAK AND RINSE BEANS.
2. IN A LARGE SAUCEPAN, SOAK BEANS IN 4 CUPS WATER OVER NIGHT. DO NOT DRAIN
3. HEAT OIL IN A SKILLET OVER MEDIUM HEAT.
4. ADD ONION - PEPPERAND GARLIC; COOK UNTIL TENDER, ABOUT 5 MINUTES.
5. ADD REMAINING INGREDIENTS.
6. STIR MIXTUSE INTO BEANS IN A SAUCEPAN.
7. BRING TO A BOIL, REDUCE HEAT, COVER AND SIMMER UNTIL BEANS ARE TENDER.
