Chocolate Praline Torte 1 Picture


  • Topping:
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup real butter
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 Devils Food Cake Mix
  • 3/4 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla

Step 1

In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter and cream. Stir over low heat until butter melts. Pour into 2 greased 9" cake pans. Sprinkle with pecans. Prepare cake mix according to directions and pour over pecan mix. Bake 350° 35 - 45 minutes. Cook completely on wire rack.


Beat cream until soft peaks form. Add sugar and vanilla. Beat until stiff. Place one cake layer, pecan side up on plate. Spread with half the topping. Top with second layer and remaining topping. Store in refrigerator.
