Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean steak sliced into small chunks
  • 1/2 lb lean ground beef
  • 2-3 Roma tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 medium poblano chili diced
  • 1 c organic beef broth
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes w/green chilies
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can black beans - rinsed
  • taco seasoning to taste

Preparation

Step 1

In large pot, brown beef & onions together until cooked. Add poblano peppers and tomatoes along with taco seasoning and beef broth. Bring to boil and add canned tomatoes/green chilies, tomato sauce & black beans.

Simmer for 30 min to tenderize and meld flavors. (You can use water to thin if necessary, or tomato paste to thicken.)
