This is great for homemade gifts put into decorative glass bottles with your own labels.

Ingredients

• 4 cups sugar
• 4 cups water
• 1 vanilla bean
• 2 oz. instant coffee (Yuban)
• 5 cups Vodka or Brandy

Preparation

Step 1

Boil sugar and water together for 5 minutes, Add vanilla bean in 1 " pieces. Boil 4 minutes longer. Remove vanilla bean pieces. Dissolve coffee in sugar water syrup; add vodka, pour in to a dark glass jug or bottle. 1/2 to 1 gallon.
Seal and store in cool dark place. Ready to drink in 4 to 6 weeks.
