Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • 2 packages of yeast
  • 2/3 c butter
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 c mashed potatoes
  • 1 c milk, heated slowly and then cooled
  • 2 eggs, well-beaten
  • 6-7 c flour
  • 1/2 c butter
  • brown sugar
  • cinnamon
  • Topping:
  • 1 c margarine
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 c kero

Preparation

Step 1

1) Mix potatoes and milk. Add yeast dissolved in a 1/2 c warm water. Add eggs. Add flour. Cover and refrigerate (can keep up to 2 weeks).

2) Roll out batter. Brush with butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut into 1 1/2 inch wide pieces. Roll up and place in a loaf pan (8 in each loaf pan). Raise 4 hours.

3) Combine topping on stove. Brush buns. Bake 30 min. at 350 degrees.
