Ingredients
- 4 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup milk ( warm )
- 3/4 cup water ( warm )
- 1 pkg dry yeast

Preparation
Step 1
mix flour with the salt and sugar
add the shortening to flour mixture
add the yeast to the milk and water mixture
then pour liquid into the center of flour mixture
knead in a mixer with a dough hook until smooth and elastic .. knead another 5 minutes
let rise in warm spot until doubled, about 2 hrs
punch dough down, then form into 3 inch balls and place on a greased baking sheet 1 in apart
let rise another 1 - 2 hrs
bake @ 400F 10-12 min
