Ingredients

  • 5 oz. bittersweet chocolate
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
  • Pinch salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped toasted pecans
  • 4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • ¼ cup whipped cream

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8 inch square pan. Melt chocolate with the butter. Whisk the eggs with the sugar and the vanilla. Beat in the chocolate mix. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir flour mix into the chocolate mix and stir in the chocolate pieces and nuts. Pour batter into a pan and bake 30 minutes.

Melt the chocolate with cream and spread over the brownies; Chill brownies and cut into squares.
