- Basic Syrup:
- Peel of 1 lemon; be sure to get yellow part only, with no wyhite membrane
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
- Blot peel on paper towel. Combine su8gar, peel and water in large pan. Heat to boiling, simmer 10 minutes, strain into sterilized jar.

Creme de Menthe
1 1/3 cups vodka
1 1/4 sups basic syrup
1 3/4 tsps PEPPERmint extract (be sure it is peppermint, not regular mint.
Combine vodka, syrup, peppermint, vanilla extracts in quart size jar. Stir in green food coloring. Store 1 - 2 weeks in cool, dark place before using. Keeps for a long time
Anise Liquor (Galliano)
1 1/2 cups vodka
1 1/4 cups basic syrup
2 tsps vanilla
1 tsp anise extract
Yellow food coloring
Combine vodka, syrup, vanilla, anise extract in a 4 cup, screw top jar. Stir in enough food coloring to tint. Store in cool, dark place 1 week.
Cranberry Liquer
1 1/2 cups vodka
2 cups basic syrup
1 tsp vanilla
2 PLUS cups coarsely chopped cranberries
Mix all together in large jar and allow to "steep" at least one month. At that time, strain liqueur into another container.
