Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef(sirloin is best)
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons steak seasoning blend, such as Montreal Seasoning
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 small red bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste

Step 1
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add oil, meat, onion, garlic, red bell pepper steak seasoning to the pan. begin to break it up as you cook. (Drain liquids, if desired and place meat back in the pan.)
Reduce heat to medium.
To cooked meat mixture, add remaining ingreadients and simmer for at least 15 minutes.
Using a large spoon or ice cream scoop, pile sloppy meat onto toasted, buttered buns bottoms and cover with bun tops.
Serve with your favorite sides or sliced tomatoes seasoned with salt and pepper, dill pickles, etc.
