Ingredients

  • 1/2 cups yellow corn meal
  • 3/4 cup of King Arthur Flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 tablespoons melted unsalted Cabot butter
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup (Grade B recommended)
  • 1/2 cup of milk

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400º.

Mix dry ingredients, set aside.

Melt butter; add milk, syrup and egg.

Mix with dry ingredients just to moisten.

Best served with Morse Farm pure Vermont Maple Syrup or Morse Farm Maple Cream.
Bake in buttered cornstick or muffin pans 12-15 minutes, or 8″ X 8″ baking pan for 18-20 minutes.
