Puppy Chow

Ingredients

• 9 cups of Corn Chex cereal
• 6 oz. pkg. (1 cup) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
• 1/2 cup creamy Peanut Butter
• 1/4 cup margarine
• 1 tsp. vanilla extract
• 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Step 1

Pour the Corn Chex cereal into a large bowl and set aside. In a 1 quart microwave-safe bowl, combine the Hershey's semi-sweet chocolate chips, peanut butter, and margarine. Microwave the mixture on HIGH for 1 minute, *UNcovered*. Stir the mixture and continue heating for an additional 30 seconds, or until the mixture resembles a smooth consistency. Add vanilla to the mixture and stir. Pour the chocolate mixture over the Chex cereal, stirring until all the cereal pieces are evenly coated. Pour the cereal mixture into a jumbo size Zip Lock bag with the powdered sugar. Seal the bag and shake until all the pieces are well coated. Spread the Puppy Chow onto waxed paper and allow to cool. Store the Puppy Chow in an airtight container in the refrigerator until it is served.
