Ingredients

  • 1 gallon water
  • 2 1/2 gallons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups dry milk
  • 2 1/2 cups lard
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup yeast
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup salt

Preparation

Step 1

Measure all dry ingredients into mixer the previous day. Add 3/4 of the flour into the mixer in the morning. Then add wet ingredients. Mix together and let beat till it reaches 70 degrees, never beat higher than 2. Then add rest of the flour and let beat to 80 degrees. Remember not to add all the flour when taking out dough for wheat buns.
