Ingredients

  • Marinade:

  • 1

    package good season's dry italian dressing

  • 3

    cups veg. oil

  • ¾

    cup wine vinegar

  • ½

    cup red cooking wine

  • 1

    freshly squeezed lemon (leave rind in marinade)

  • 2

    tbls. oregano

  • 2

    tbls. parsley

  • 1

    tbls. basil

  • salt and pepper

  • 2

    tsp. onion powder

  • 2

    tsp. garlic powder

  • 4-5

    fresh garlic cloves sliced

  • 3

    pounds pork (loin or butt)

  • 1

    loaf italian bread sliced

Directions

Mix marinade ingredients well and set aside. Cut pork in 1x2 inch cubes. A little fat is good, but not too much. Mix pork with marinade, cover, and refrigerate for 3 days, mixing about twice a day. On third day, skewer meat and cook on hot coals or gas grill approx. 15-20 min. Wrap a piece of Romas bread around spedie and pull off skewer. Recipe can be made with other meats as well. Chicken: Marinate 2 days or less Lamb: add tenderizer Venison: Add tenderizer and marinate for 4 days
