Ingredients

  • 1 cup black-eyed peas, cooked
  • 1 cup white cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 3/4 cup canned cream-style corn
  • 1 lb. browned ground beef
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup corn oil
  • 1/2 lb grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 chopped jalepenos

Preparation

Step 1

Mix peas, cornmeal, flour, salt, soda, cream-style corn, ground been, buttermilk and onion together. Add cheese last. Pour into greased baking pan and bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes.
