Preparation
Step 1
Mix all ingreadients well, shape into patties. Dip both sides of the patties in flour (well). Fry slowly in oil. Add extra oil if necessary. When patties are browned,
return them to the pan. If there is too much oil in the pan, drain some off.
Cover the patties with boiling water. (I used 6 cups of water). Add 2 Tablespoons of Chile sauce (12) OR
2-3 tablespoons of ketchup
Salt and pepper
1 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce OR
1 tablespoon A-1 sauce
1/2 cup of soy sauce (at least)
The patties should barely be covered with liquid. Add mushroom. Simmer for 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
Simmer slowly covered for 1-1/2 to 2 hours. Thicken the gravy if necessary. This meal is great served with mashed potatoes.
