Toasted Butter Pecan Cake

Ingredients
- 2 c pecans chopped
- 1 1/4 c butter
- 3 c flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 c sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 c milk
- 2 tsp vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350
Grease/Flour 3 8" or 9" pans
Toast pecans in 1/4 c butter for 25-30 minutes
Stir frequently
Sift dry ingredients
Cream 1 c butter
Add sugar, blend well
Add eggs - beat well after each
Add dry ingredients alternately with milk
Stir in vanilla and 1 1/3 cup pecans
Pour into pans and bake 25-30 minutes.
