Ingredients

    eggs, separated

  • 1 1/2

    cups sugar, divided

  • 6

    cups milk

  • 1 1/2

    cups spiced rum

  • 1 1/2

    cups brandy

  • 1

    tbsp vanilla

  • 3

    cups whipping cream

  • 1

    tbsp nutmeg

Directions

Separate eggs into two large bowls. Beat the egg yolks. Add 3/4 cup of sugar to the yolks and beat until blended. Add the brandy, rum and vanilla. Beat again to combine the egg/sugar mixture and the liquids. Add the milk and beat to combine. Set aside. Beat the egg whites on high speed while slowly adding the remaining 3/4 cup of sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form. Set aside. In another large bowl, whip the cream until slightly thickened. Pour the egg yolk mixture into a punch bowl. Add the whipped cream. Stir to combine. Top the egg nog with the whipped egg whites. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
