Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 3 tbs. sugar
- 1/3 cup butter
- ½ cup flour
- ½ tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. allspice
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 cup sifted icing sugar
- ¼ tsp. vanilla
- 1 tbs. or more milk

Step 1
In a medium bowl, stir together 1 cup flour and 3 tbs. sugar. Cut in 1/3 cup butter until the mix resembles coarse crumbs. Press the crumbs onto the bottom of a 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Stir together flour, baking powder, allspice, and salt. Set aside. N a medium pan, melt in ¼ cup butter. Stir in brown sugar, remove from heat. Add flour mix, egg, and vanilla. Stir. Stir in nuts. Pour onto a warm, partially baked crust.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 – 25 minutes, until the toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. In a bowl stir together 1 cup sifted icing sugar, vanilla, and enough milk to make a drizzling consistency, and drizzle onto the cake.
