Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350, in sauce pan cook bacon until crisp, drain grease except for 1 tbsp, add onion, salt & pepper until tender then mix in flour & cook for 30 seconds, add spinach, milk, sour cream & cream cheese, cook until cream cheese melts then stir in bacon and1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Transfer mixture into a 1 1/2 quart baking dish, top with 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Bake for 14 minutes.

Optional: After cooking in oven for 14 minutes heat in broiler for 3 minutes until top is brown.

Pita Chips: Buy a bag of pita bread. Cut in half then cut into triangles (should look like a tortilla chip). Pull apart layers of each chip. Place on a olive oil greased baking sheet and place in preheated 350 oven for 5 minutes (will burn quickly so pay attention).

Baguette Chips: Buy a loaf of baguette bread and cut into slices, brush each slice with olive oil. Bake in 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes until lightly toasted

I prefer the pita chips. I have tried both. The baguettes can get hard and tough to chew. The pita chips is my recipe the baguette is Martha Stewart's recipe
