Ingredients
- 3 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup butter
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Step 1
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; reserve. At medium-high speed, beat butter and cream cheese until fluffy. Beat in sugar until fluffy, 2 minutes. Beat in egg and vanilla until combined. At medium low speed, gradually beat in flour mixture until dough forms.
Divide dough in half and wrap each half in saran wrap and chill for 2 hours.
On a floured surface, roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Using cutters, cut out shapes. Reroll scraps as necessary. Place 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 11 to 15 minutes or until edges are golden. Cool 1 minute. Transfer to racks; coolcompletely. Decorate if desired.
