  • 1 Loaf Challah Bread, cut into thick slices
  • 1/2 c. Butter (melted)
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/4 c. Sugar
  • 2 c. Half-and-Half
  • 1 t. Cinnamon
  • 1 t. Vanilla

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.

Butter a large baking dish. Place the sliced bread in the dish. Pour the melted butter over the bread.

Mix together the eggs and sugar. Add the cream, cinnamon, and vanilla. Pour it over the bread and let it soak for at least an hour or keep refigerated overnight. Use a pancake turner to turn the slices to make sure bread is saturated.

If refrigerated overnighted, remove from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature. Sprinkle additional cinnamon and sugar if desired.

Bake for 45 minutes uncovered (or until bread is puffy and golden brown).
