Sweet & Sour Bo Bo Balls

Ingredients
- EGG BATTER:
- Make 12-24 hrs before
- 1 small egg
- 1 tbsp veg oil
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking pwd
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- BOBO BALLS;
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 cup flour
- oil for frying
- SWEET & SOUR SAUCE;
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup vinegar
- 2 cups sugar( add more if difficutly with sauce)
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 salt
- 2 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water

Step 1
EGG BATTER;
whip egg, oil and vinegar until it appears thickened. Add remaining ingredients and continue to whip until smooth. Set overnight. If too thick, add water, should be consistency of pancake batter. Leave out at room temperature overnight. Keep 3-4 days, if a week,add water and baking pwd mixture.
METHOD FOR BO-BO BALLS;
Mix all ingredients except flour and frying oil, until the meat mixure is smooth. Divide the mixture into equal size portions (approx 1 tbsp)
Flour your hands and roll each portion into a ball. Roll all the meat balls in the remaining flour and dip in the prepared egg batter for deep frying. The oil for frying should be set at 325-350* to ensure the balls will be fully cooked and turn golden brown slowly. Remove from fat and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with sweet and sour sauce on the side.
METHOD FOR SWEET & SOUR SAUCE;
Mix the cornstarch and water in a bowl for thickening purpose. Mix well remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Thicken the liquid with the water and cornstarch mixture, slowly and stir at the same time.
