Ingredients
- ½ chopped walnuts
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup flour
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
- 3 tbs. chilled butter
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 3 sliced apples
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbs. baking powder
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 beaten egg

Mix nuts, sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until crumbly, set aside. Pour the melted butter in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle sugar evenly over top. Arrange the apple slices over the butter and set aside. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Combine the butter, milk, and eggs. Add to the flour mix, and beat until smooth. Spread ½ the batter over the slices, sprinkle with streusel, and then top with the remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining streusel. Bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes and immediately invert.
