Step 1

Measure exact amount of sugar into separate bowl.
Stir one box of pectin into fruit in saucepot.Add 1/2 tsp butter to reduce foaming.
Bring mixture to full rolling boil.[A boil that doesn't stop bubbling when stirred] on high heat, stirring constantly.
Stir in sugar quickly. Return to full rolling boil and boil exactly 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat. Skim off any foam.
Ladle into prepared jars. Screw lids on tightly.
Place jars in canner. water must cove jars by 1 to 2 inches. Cover. Bring water to a gentle boil and boil for 10 minutes.
remove jars and cool on towel.
