Ingredients
- 2 ½ lb. round steak, ¼” – 1/2” thick
- ½ lb. Italian sausage
- 1 tbs. dried parsley flakes
- ½ tsp. oregano
- 2 small garlic cloves, minced
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 16oz can tomatoes
- 1 6oz can tomato paste
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. oregano

Step 1
Trim excess fat from the steak and cut into 8 evenly shaped pieces. Pound steaks until they are very thin and easy to roll. In a skillet lightly brown the sausage; drain well and combine with parsley, ½ tsp. oregano, the garlic, onion, and salt. Mix well.
Spread each steak with 2-3 tbs. of the sausage mixture. Roll up jelly roll style and place in a slow cooker. Combine the tomatoes, paste, salt, and oregano and pour over the rolls. Cover and cook on low setting for 7 hours.
