Ingredients

  • 1 package (4-5lbs) Louis Rich fresh turkey breast half
  • 1 package (8oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 slices fresh bread, finely chopped
  • 1 can (3oz) real bacon bits
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tspn instant minced onion
  • 1/2 tspn oregano
  • 1/8 tspn garlic powder
  • 1 egg, beaten

Preparation

Step 1

Rinse turkey and pat dry. With knife, loosen lining under skin, pulling skin back to expose meat. Leave skin attached along one edge. Combine remaining ingredients in large bowl. Spread mixture on area where skin was removed. Replace skin; secure with skewers or toothpicks. Place skin side up in shallow roasting pan. Insert meat thermometer into center of thickest part of muscle, don't touch bone. Bake at 325 degrees for 1-1/2 hours. Baste with pan drippings; cover loosely with foil. Bake 1 hour longer until thermometer reaches internal 170 degrees. Let stand 10 minutes; remove skewers and slice.
