Ingredients
- 2 lbs. Almonds, blanched, peeled, grind a majority of the nuts and chop remaining almonds.
- ¾ cup sugar, plus and additional 2 tbs.
- 1 tbs. sieved apricot jam
- Vanilla
- 2 egg whites, lightly beaten
- 3 tbs. milk

Step 1
Mix the almonds and sugar, stir in vanilla and jam. Slowly add the egg whites, and stir to form workable dough, work mixture by hand. Roll and divide the dough into walnut size pieces. Brush the dough with the remaining whites and roll in chopped almonds to form crescents.
Bake mixture at 375 degrees for 10 – 12 minutes. Dissolve the remaining sugar in the milk and when cookies are baked, paint them with the milk mixture.
