Ingredients
- 1 roasting chicken
- 2 tbs. sour cream
- 4 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 carrot, cut into 2 inch pieces
- 1 small onion, cut into quarters
- 1 stalk celery, cut into 2 inch pieces

Step 1
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Rub outside of chicken and inside the body cavity with the 2 tbs. sour cream, 3 tsp. paprika and salt. Place the carrot, onion and celery inside body cavity; tie legs together.
Place chicken, breast-side up, on a rack in shallow roasting pan. Add 3 tbs. water to pan and roast until tender, 2 – 2 ½ hours. Baste chicken with pan juices.
