Ingredients

  • 2 C biscuit mix
  • 2 T sugar
  • 1/4 C butter
  • 1/2 C milk
  • Lg can sliced fruit or fruit cocktail to cover crust
  • 1/2 C maraschino cherries, halved
  • 1 T cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg or mace
  • 1/8 tsp allspice
  • 1 T butter
  • 2 tsp lemon juice

Preparation

Step 1

Combine biscuit mix and sugar; stir in melted butter and milk. Spread dough on 12" pizza pan. Drain fruit, reserving liquid 1 1/2 C syrup and 2 T cherry syrup. Stir in cornstarch and spices. Cover and bring to boil. Remove from heat and add butter and lemon juice. Arrange fruit on dough. Pour sauce over all. Bake at 450 degrees about 12 - 15 minutes till crust edges are slightly browned. Serve warm.
