Ingredients

  • Optional (sauteed in butter):
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 cups hot chicken broth
  • 1-1/2 cups Half & Half
  • 16 oz jar of Cheese Whiz
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 6 oz Lite Beer (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup finely grated carrots
  • 1/2 cup finely minced onion
  • 1 cup finely diced celery
  • 1 Tbsp chives

Cooking time 20mins

Preparation

Step 1

Add melted butter to hot chicken broth.
Add flour & mix like gravy, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
Stir in Half & Half, Cheese Whiz, Worcestershire Sauce, vegetables and beer.
Continue cooking until soup is hot.
Serve.

Plain popcorn or croutons may be added for garnish.
