Country-Style Creamy Chicken 1 Picture


  • 3 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 3 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 6 mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper
  • 1 3/4 c chicken broth
  • 1 tsp ketchup
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 1 (8oz) pkg egg noodles, cooked

Step 1

Cut the chicken into bite-size pieces. Saute in butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until light brown on all sides

Add mushrooms, onion and garlic. Cook for about 4 min. Remove chicken and vegetables with a slotted spoon

Blend flour, salt ans pepper into pan juices; add broth gradually. Cook, stirring continually, until thickened, about 6 min

Stir in ketchup, sour cream, chicken and vegetables. Heat to serving temperature, about 3 min; do not boil. Serve over noodles
