Ingredients

  • 2-1/2 cups raw almonds, soaked at least 12 hours
  • 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon raw tahini
  • 3/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup plus 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • smoked paprika for garnish

Preparation

Step 1

Drain and rinse soaked almonds. Place almonds in a food processor and grind. Add remaining ingredients minus 1/2 the water. Puree the ingredients, adding more water until creamy. Taste and adjust seasonings to taste. Spoon into a serving dish and drizzle with extra olive oil and smoked paprika. Serve with cut veggies or raw flax crackers.
