  • 1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix
  • 1 (3.4 ounce) box instant vanilla pudding
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350F. Prepare a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray and set aside. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding, water, oil, eggs and chocolate chips. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated. This batter will be very thick, and that’s exactly right. Pour batter into baking dish. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the edges begin to turn golden brown and get crispy. The center will appear to be slightly under done, which means they’re perfect. Remove from oven, allow to cool slightly. Cut into bars and try not to eat all of them before the kids get home.

Notes:
Variations: The sky is the limit here as you can use any flavor of cake mix, paired with any variety of instant pudding. Your add-ins can be any type of chips, toffee bits, nuts, even mini M&Ms. Go ahead. Get crazy and have fun
