Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup cold lard, cubed
  • 2 tbsp ice water
  • 4 tsp sour cream

Step 1

In bowl, whisk flour with salt. Using pastry blender cut in butter and lrad til fine crumbs. Whisk water with sour cream tossing briskly with fork. Add to flour mixture. Add additional water if required. It will form a ragged dough. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Makes 12 tarts.
