Ingredients
- 2 pounds potato
- 2/3 cup light cream
- 2/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 large clove garlic, crushed
- salt and pepper
- 1 cup Gruyere cheese, grated

Step 1
Lightly butter a shallow gratin dish. Put the light and heavy creams into a bowl, add the garlic, and stir to mix.
Thinly slice the potatoes, preferably with the slicing disk of a food processor.Arrange a layer of potatoes in the bottom of the gratin dish and salt and pepper.
Pour a little of the cream mixture over the potatoes then
sprinkle with cheese. Continue layering the potatoes, cream, and cheese,, adding salt and pepper and
finishing with a layer of cheese.
Bake in a 325 degrees oven for 1 1/2 hours or until the potatoes are tender and the topping is golden brown.
